Buckhurst Hill vs Chigwell Boys 12th October 2014

The home derby this week, as Chigwell Boys come to the lush green carpet of Buckhurst Hill. Last time Buckhurst Hill met Chigwell they narrowly lost at home to 2 late goals. So no encouragement will be needed today and with a lot the boys going to school together, some bragging rights are on offer. Buckhurst Hill kick off The match starts with some competitive challenges from both sides as they wrestle for possession of the ball. 12Mins Goal 0-1: Chigwell take the lead. The ball breaks out wide and is crossed into the box amongst the tackles the ball breaks too an off side player who scores. The lines man flags and the referee after discussion gives the goal. No one can understand the decision, but the goal stands. 13Mins Goal 1-1: The boys strike back. Some excellent and persistent work from Laycock earns a corner. Laycock delivers a superb ball into the box and Wheeler nips in and heads home. Some strong challenges are going in, and neither team can get a clear chance. Spencer for Buckhurst Hill tries his luck from outside the area with a lobbed effort but clears the crossbar. James breaks free but sees his effort whistle wide. 30Mins Goal 2-1: Wheeler at the double gives Buckhurst Hill the lead. This time Stalick with some wing trickery, gets the ball out wide and cuts across the area and passes, Wheeler tucks it away from close range. HT 2-1 Chigwell Boys Kick off 8Mins Goal 3-1: Buckhurst Hill get a grip of the game. Some neat interplay in midfield sees James beat the offside trap and he makes no mistake and slots into the far corner. Chigwell are rattled, their players are on each others backs as Buckhurst Hill step up the pressure. Ashman and Salmon are snuffing out their attacks and Walden and Mckeever down the left side are making some great inroads into Chigwell’s defense.
