U14b: League Cup Round 2

Neil Reeve, 7 February 2010 21:47

Buckhurst Hill 7  Colebrook Royals 2

In the last two games our attacking play has improved with goals coming from all areas of the pitch. A hat-trick by Thomas who has been in great form, two from Young, Tormey netted after another impressive display and Penfold scored his first goal for the club with a lofted finish from a corner. Halpin forced the keeper to make some good saves, Young had another ruled out for offside and Reeve hit the bar. Davey saved well when called upon, making a brilliant penalty save and was unfortunate to see the rebound go in. Terry had a fantastic game and is proving to be a consistent performer. Defensive organisation was better. Passing and movement was good in spells. Very well done to all the players today!
Now we must continue to set ourselves high standards and keep working on the quality of our football as we have a tough semi final match next week.
